Project Cars

It seems everyone enjoys Project Cars. Seeing what someone else is doing can give you motivation on your own project or it can even provide you with some new ideas for your current or next project. Even if you are not inclined to do your own restoration work most of us enjoy seeing a project car in process. From this page you will be able to follow anyone of our Project Cars from the day we discover it until we take it to a show or simply hit the road with it. Most of our Project Cars are not destined to be show cars or win the big trophies; they are just intended to me driven and played with. Other Project Cars will have only very minor tweaking done to them to make the car more original or simply better running.

1954 GMC Fuel Delivery Truck

SOLD

This is one of those projects that I just love but it is not a car. I personally believe that we are going to start seeing a lot more old commercial truck showing up at both local and national shows. I found this 1954 GMC Fuel Delivery Tanker and fell in love. It is as far from what I normally like as you can get but I can’t wait to get started on it. Click Here to see more.

1967 Dodge Coronet: Project Frankenstein

I wish I was on the road!

This is our biggest project to date and by far the most ambitious. Why Project Frankenstein? Because it is an old classic muscle car that will take on the appearance of a slightly modified 1967 Dodge RT but will be completely modern Dodge Charger from bumper to bumper! For more details Click Here.

Project Bulls Eye; 1963 Dodge Dart GT

SOLD

This Project Car was added to the inventory in February 2012 and was to be done in the “High School Hauler” low buck style that we did on our 1967 Mustang “Gloriana” Fastback. However, as we began the Project Bull’s Eye and got it on the road it was quickly sold to enthusiast that liked it just the way it was.

Rat Rod; Barn Find

Project Rat Rod isn’t a Barn Find, it is a Pasture Find! Unfortunately, it never made its way into the Barn! We just got this body home and began to plan out the build. Read this article and tell us what you think. Unfortunately, we never got to build this project. Someone came along that wanted to do it more than we did and bought it from us.

1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 428 CJ-UPDATED 8-5-2013

1969 Mercury Cougar 428 cj

SOLD

This is a rare authentic 1969 Mercury Cougar XR 7 428 CJ. This is a C6 automatic car with PS, PB, posi and AIR. This car was sound when we got it but not a show car.  Our first effort was to install a 465HP 428 CJ motor and beefed up C6. We did not feel this was the best use of the car and we have now installed a date code correct 428 CJ. It also received a full repaint, we will clean up the interior, and fix the factory air conditioning.

Because of the Gloriana Music Video this project has changed direction once again. I have owned this Stang for nearly 25 years. It was my daily driver for a while and everyone of my kids drove it to high school. Each one of them also left their marks on the body. It is a sound rust free Southern California car. Click Here to see the current status, we have just started the body repair.
