Transporting a Prized Muscle Car

As you most likely have guessed from the looks of this site, I am a car collector. I recently purchased a rare find in CA. Unfortunately, the car did not run. Its condition was that of a barn find so it did not need to be in an enclosed trailer but I did want it to be safe. After doing a great deal of research and obtaining some quotes I selected AAA Auto Transport to do the job.
I made all the arrangements over the phone and paid a deposit by credit card. I had to wait for my check to the seller to clear his bank before the company could pick up my car. Within a couple of day the transport driver had the car on the hauler and was on his way.
I have had cars shipped on multiple occasions but this is the first time that the transport driver really kept me informed on when the car left, its status during travel and he hit his projected delivery time right on target! He even provided me with his cell phone number and actually answered it anytime I called! That is a big help when you are sitting around waiting for your car to show up. This isn’t a UPS package that can just be left at your front door. You need and want to be there when it is unloaded. If the driver doesn’t communicate with you there can be a lot of wasted time sitting by the phone.
Unloading my new prized muscle car was a little bit of a chore since the car didn’t run. We successfully used my pickup to pull the big muscle car off the hauler and pull it up my long driveway to hits new home in my garage.
Would I use AAA Auto Transport again? Without hesitation. They were the cheapest of the over half dozen bids I got and their customer service was tops from my initial phone call until the car arrived.
Just so you know, I didn’t get paid for this post and I didn’t get a discount because I wrote this; they just have good customer service and that is what it is all about.
