Mercury Cyclone Spoiler; Restoration Phase 2 – Paint Comes Off
This is the second page in the documentation of the 2 year restoration of our 1969 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler Cale Yarborough Special 428 CJ Ram Air.
This step really hurts. The car was not perfect but far from an eye sore and to start taking the paint off is not a fun thing to watch.
OH NO! We found bondo. Had no idea it was there. The body appeared straight and sound. we ended up replacing the door and fender so there would be no bondo in the car.
The big old 428 CJ left a big hole under the hood.
