Project Nuremberg Dodge Daytona #14

At this point, we were into the slow and tedious part of the build. The part where you prime and sand, prime and sand and repeat until the body is straight and body lines are sharp.
It was determined that the original Daytona nose would be put on a shelf and not used because it had sustained too much damage over the years to make restoration practical. I ordered a fiberglass nose from a well known source but it did not fit well so we hired a metal fabricating artist to build a new steel nose. 
From this image, you can get an idea of how badly the glass nose fit. It was too wide and too tall for the fenders! This is not a criticism of the company that supplied it. All Daytona noses were hand built and slightly different.
