Product Review: In-Car Video Camera

Are you as intrigued by the video cameras mounted inside race cars as I am. They can show the driver hard at work fighting the wheel or even show the car behind pounding on your rear bumper. Whether it is the local dirt track or NASCAR these images are captivating. Well, I discovered how this technology can be put to use for us lesser mortals like me who don’t spend a lot of time on the race track but would still like some action video. That led me to Hoyt Technologies and their high definition motorsports camera, the MSR-200.

I recently put one of these sweet little cameras in my toy box. I couldn’t resist adding most of the optional equipment that gos with the base kit. Although I am going to eventually give you a thorough review of the camera on our Product Review page I want you to know that this little guy is going to be with me anytime I am on the road or at a car show.

It is easy to operate and provides a video that is good enough to watch on your large flat screed high definition TV! If you want to read more on this must have little toy, Click Here.

I grew up and lived in Iowa for a good portion of my life before moving to Southern California. After 20+ years we now live outside Nashville Tennessee. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle especially the 1969/1970 NASCAR Aero Cars. (Check out our other web site at www.TalladegaSpoilerRegistry.com site) As long as it has four wheels and an engine I get excited. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife, Katriana, is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. We have a small collection that includes at least one car from each of the Big Three. It includes a Best of Show winner, a survivor, a driver with lots of patina and several others. Katrina prefers all original cars while I like to modify them so we have a few of each. When we aren't playing with cars we are out working with or showing our miniature donkeys.
