Boskovich Collection; Boss 429 Mustangs and much more

Boss 429 MustangI recently had an invitation to tour a portion of the Boskovich Car Collection. If was like no other experience. It is likely that most of you have heard of Pop’s Toy that terrorized Van Nuys Boulevard back in the late 60s and early 70s. If not, CLICK HERE for the story.

Pops was a hard worker, a good business man and car guy. After a hard day of work he would take his Boss 429 Cammer out to the streets to have some fun. It must run in the family gene pool because that Boss Cammer has since generated some additional and equally spectacular Boskovich Blue Oval machinery.

I could not visit the entire collection, it is not house at one location and I was short on time. Grandson Rhett Searcy did the honor and I still get a wide smile on my face every time I think back on that day; and I think back often. Friend, Rick Stanton (Boss 429 Talladega Feature Car on this site), and I were breathless as we walked between the collection of multiple Boss 429s, a Cobra, a 68 428 CJ Mustang, Shelbys, a 427 Ace Cobra continuation car as well as a multitude of Shelby experimentals.

I grew up and lived in Iowa for a good portion of my life before moving to Southern California. After 20+ years we now live outside Nashville Tennessee. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle especially the 1969/1970 NASCAR Aero Cars. (Check out our other web site at www.TalladegaSpoilerRegistry.com site) As long as it has four wheels and an engine I get excited. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife, Katriana, is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. We have a small collection that includes at least one car from each of the Big Three. It includes a Best of Show winner, a survivor, a driver with lots of patina and several others. Katrina prefers all original cars while I like to modify them so we have a few of each. When we aren't playing with cars we are out working with or showing our miniature donkeys. You can see more about that part of our lives at http://www.LegendaryFarms.com.
