Alan Jackson Car Collection

Katrina and I recently had a once in a lifetime opportunity to tour the garage and car collection of one of our favorite recoding artists, Alan Jackson. We have been to his concerts and own many of his CDs but never have we been more excited than to visit his family’s gorgeous property and his terrific car collection.

We want to thank the Alan Jackson family for letting us infringe on their personal space and also want to give a big thank you to Gary Haneberg and the entire Battlefield Antique Auto Club Association (AACA) of Franklin, TN who made this wonderful event possible.

We all gathered for an impromptu car show in a school parking lot so we could caravan to the Alan Jackson estate. Here Katrina looks over a 1962 Corvette which greatly resembles my first Corvette ever.

We drove our ZO6 to the event, one of the few times it gets to go out these days.

The approach to the Alan Jackson estate is an event in its self.

The approach to their home will take your breath away.

Wow!

Just behind the home is a complex of buildings which includes the garage for Alan’s cars.

We parked near the Jackson lake and walked up the hill to the garage.

I have seen few homes that rival parks for there space and beauty but the Alan Jackson estate certainly does.

Many of the cars that went on the event rivaled the best in show at a lot of car shows.

As we approached the garage you could feel the excitement in the air.

The first thing you see when you enter the garage is Alan’s personal desk and work area when he is home.

Katrina meets Alan Jackson! Well, almost. Alan is actually a cardboard cutout sitting on the real Alan’s Harley.

By the way, Katrina is also real.

Alan must be a fan of Mayberry. He has a Mayberry High School letterman’s jacket and many autographed photos from the stars.

Katrina visits the NEON RAINBOW! What is she pointing at? The NEON POT OF GOLD!

Now for some cars.

The collection is not large but is high in quality. This is a 44o RT Challenger Convertible.

The collection is eclectic and has much more than just cars. I think Alan likes to fish.

Says it all.

Stutz. This car finished 1st or 2nd at the 1928 24 of LeMans but is not Alan’s car. It belongs to a friend.

Listen to the audio below very carefully and you can hear when the lever is pulled to open and close the exhaust cutout, it gets much louder.

All too soon it was time to leave. It is a great collection and a beautiful environment.

For those of us on the outside looking in it is a great reminder that no matter how much you have there is always some one with more. It should also remind us to be thankful for what we have because there are many not so well blessed.
