Mercury Competition Team Decal & Sticker

Were you a Member of the Mercury Competition Team back in 1969?

Did you know Mercury had a Competition Team in 1969? I sure didn’t but thanks to helpful supporter and Mercury/Ford fan I do now! Michael J. Beckelman, Vice-President of the Hirsig-Frazier Company contacted me and provided the pamphlets and application for Mercury Competition Team Membership we are sharing with you today. If you like the graphic above and want one for yourself, keep reading and I will tell you how you can.

These documents seem to be directed at not only the Cyclone but specifically drag racing your Cyclone.

This is the Mercury provided drag race win log book. It must be a win at a licensed strip...no street racing. You can but it won't count...my comment.

I went out on a limb and had some of these Cyclone decals reproduced; how many of you would like to have? One or more? You can purchase these in our Online Store right now! Ford also had a similar one but I can’t find one of those, do you have one I can borrow? I am also looking for MOPAR and Chevy stickers and decals similar to this one from Mercury. Would you like a reproduction of it or some other decal/sticker if we can find them? Let me know at RFleener@Comcast.net

Two versions of this Mercury Competition Team logo are available and both are the same size. They measure a full 9 inches long and 3.5 inches tall; just the right size for the center of your back window or side rear window just like we did back in the day. I have a 1969 Drag Pack Mercury Cyclone Dan Gurney Spoiler and one of these is going right next to the original back in the day “Class Winner” decals the car earned from a couple of NJ drag strips.

This is a reproduction of the vintage Mercury Cyclone Drag Club. It measures 9" long by 3.5" tall.

We have two versions of this time capsule item. The first is just like the original and is a bumper sticker like outside sticker. It peals off the background paper and will stick to your window, bumper or what ever smooth surface you want to stick it to. The first one costs $9.50 and for each one after that they cost $8.50 each. Shipping is free.

The second one is identical but is a “cling” style decal and the colors are not quite as sharp but you would have to have the two next to each other to see the difference. It is designed to stick to any smooth surface as well but does so by static cling so it can be removed and placed again. It is intended to be used on the inside of a window.  This one costs $6.50 for the first one and $5.50 for each additional one.

Shipping is free!

If you want to order a large quantity or have any questions please contact me at rfleener@comcast.net.

I grew up and lived in Iowa for a good portion of my life before moving to Southern California. After 20+ years we now live outside Nashville Tennessee. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle especially the 1969/1970 NASCAR Aero Cars. (Check out our other web site at www.TalladegaSpoilerRegistry.com site) As long as it has four wheels and an engine I get excited. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife, Katriana, is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. We have a small collection that includes at least one car from each of the Big Three. It includes a Best of Show winner, a survivor, a driver with lots of patina and several others. Katrina prefers all original cars while I like to modify them so we have a few of each. When we aren't playing with cars we are out working with or showing our miniature donkeys. You can see more about that part of our lives at http://www.LegendaryFarms.com.
