Our Dan Gurney Spoiler II has spent the last 3 years on display at the Floyd Garrett Muscle Car Museum in Sevierville TN. Since it is one of our favorite cars it has been a real struggle to leave the car there for that long. While it was there it was spotted by one of the people putting on the Keeneland Concours d’Elegance and as a result we were invited to show it at this years event. That was all the extra motivation we needed to go get “Dan” and bring him back home.

Recently I packed up our trailer with our 428 CJ Ram Air Cale Yarborough Spoiler and headed off to Sevierville. After all, what is a Muscle Car Museum without a Ford products Aero Car? Plus taking a car out of our garage made space for the Spoiler II to come back home to. Think there were problems getting Dan fired up to go home? The car had been sitting in the same spot in the Museum for 3 years. I connected the battery, a friend poured a little gas down the carb and it fired right up! The battery had never been taken out of the car or charged from when I parked it there 3 years ago. I had poured a little gas additive in the tank before taking it to the Museum. Think the 351 isn’t a good way to go for your car? Think again.

I grew up and lived in Iowa for a good portion of my life before moving to Southern California. After 20+ years we now live outside Nashville Tennessee. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle especially the 1969/1970 NASCAR Aero Cars. (Check out our other web site at www.TalladegaSpoilerRegistry.com site) As long as it has four wheels and an engine I get excited. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife, Katriana, is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. We have a small collection that includes at least one car from each of the Big Three. It includes a Best of Show winner, a survivor, a driver with lots of patina and several others. Katrina prefers all original cars while I like to modify them so we have a few of each. When we aren't playing with cars we are out working with or showing our miniature donkeys. You can see more about that part of our lives at http://www.LegendaryFarms.com.
