2012 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals Photos

Linda Vaughn and First Production Talladega

I just returned from what had to be one of the best Car Shows I have ever attended. Unfortunately, Katrina could not make this show since she is recuperating from hip surgery but wants everyone to know she won’t miss another one.

To start with the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals held in Chicago every year is one terrific show. The quantity and quality of the cars on display is different every year and beyond exceptional. There are judged and non-judged cars on display. To give you an example of what was there is a conversation I overheard from a couple of participants. It went something like this. I got docked one point by the Judges because I had the wrong air filter; mine had triangle mesh and I was supposed to have square mesh!

There were over 500 of the best muscle cars/Corvettes in the Country. However, the stars of the show (in my opinion and many others) were the Aero Cars. Although we Blue Oval guys were having our 2012 Talladega Family Reunion within the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals we were happy to share the spot light with our NASCAR nemesis from MOPAR. It was all in good fun and we had a great time with everyone there.

I had a very difficult time picking out my favorite photos be here are just a few of the great cars I picked out of the over 500 in attendance. If you would like to see more of the Aeor Car display jump on over to to our sister site at www.TalladegaSpoilerRegistry.com.

We will also be posting a video of the cars in a few days.

See if you can find these cars in the Gallery of photos below: Yenko Camaro, Yenko Stinger, 69 Boss 302 bought by Chrysler from a Ford dealer in 69.

Wing envy, “My Wing is bigger than yours!”

I grew up and lived in Iowa for a good portion of my life before moving to Southern California. After 20+ years we now live outside Nashville Tennessee. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle especially the 1969/1970 NASCAR Aero Cars. (Check out our other web site at www.TalladegaSpoilerRegistry.com site) As long as it has four wheels and an engine I get excited. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife, Katriana, is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. We have a small collection that includes at least one car from each of the Big Three. It includes a Best of Show winner, a survivor, a driver with lots of patina and several others. Katrina prefers all original cars while I like to modify them so we have a few of each. When we aren't playing with cars we are out working with or showing our miniature donkeys. You can see more about that part of our lives at http://www.LegendaryFarms.com.
