Talladega going to Auction at Barrett Jackson Palm Beach

At the Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 2014 Auction a slightly modified and not very well detailed Presidential Blue Talladega sold for $110,000 including buyer’s premium. Since that time there have been a few of the other Ford Aero cars sell and the prices on those seem to be up as well. A seminar was conducted as part of the Scottsdale auctions at the same time as the BJ auction. More than one of the panelist among the multiple experts from the collector car business picked the Talladega as a car to buy now. It was agreed that it is currently undervalued along with its Mercury siblings. If you are not sure what a Ford Talladega actually is you need to check out this web site and educate yourself, Click Here. Here is a hint, it is the car Richard Petty raced in NASCAR in the 1969 season; the only year he drove a Ford!

If you think you are too late or don’t want to miss out on all the fun of owning a rare 428 CJ powered Ford Talladega from 1969 you have another opportunity. Jon Wood is taking his beautifully detailed Presidential Blue Talladega to the Barrett Jackson Palm Beach FL Auction on April 11-13, 2014. Jon and his car have been regular participants at our events and we hate to see the car leave the fold and certainly hope who ever buys it will be as supportive as Jon.

Here are some photos of the car and if you are a serious Talladega fan this would make a great addition to your collection or the perfect foundation car to build a collection around.

I grew up and lived in Iowa for a good portion of my life before moving to Southern California. After 20+ years we now live outside Nashville Tennessee. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle especially the 1969/1970 NASCAR Aero Cars. (Check out our other web site at www.TalladegaSpoilerRegistry.com site) As long as it has four wheels and an engine I get excited. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife, Katriana, is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. We have a small collection that includes at least one car from each of the Big Three. It includes a Best of Show winner, a survivor, a driver with lots of patina and several others. Katrina prefers all original cars while I like to modify them so we have a few of each. When we aren't playing with cars we are out working with or showing our miniature donkeys. You can see more about that part of our lives at http://www.LegendaryFarms.com.
