Hot Rod Pin-ups

This book is definitely different than anything else you will find in our Product Review pages. It is not so much a book you want to read as one you want to look at. This is an old school book authored by an old school guy. Read what Robt. Williams had to say in the Forward:

“I was a hot rodder back in the 1950s and 1960s, and I had a number of lady friends during this period. Believe me, no matter what you have heard or seen on television or in the movies, women hated hot rods. These cars were trouble. They leaked fumes, Every surface on the car was rusty, greasy, or sharp. They made a mess of women’s hair, and they continually broke down. Hot rods were rough-riding and dangerous, and the police were rapacious about altered antique automobiles.”

D0n’t get me wrong there is some good entertainment in the reading but you want to look at the photos. These are not the air brushed glamor dolls of today, they are today’s girls but photographed like it was the 50s. The cars are likewise not trailer queens, they are more like rat rods and real driver cars; hot rods and customs like were built for the street in the 40s and 50s.
