1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Aero Coupe

This is another one of those very special and very rare cars that Detroit built to compete on the high speed NASCAR Super Speedways. Chevy built a lot of Monte Carlo SS cars but very few of this fastback window style. According to the owner only 6,052 were built

This beautiful slightly modified SS Aero Coupe is owned by John and Linda Ortwein of Murfreesboro, TN. He is a fellow member of the Murfreesboro Hot Rod Club and also belongs to the National Monte Carlo Owners.

This is no trailer queen. John is now putting a new increased horsepower engine in the car and you can see this Aero SS on the streets and highways all over Middle Tennessee anytime of the year.

These cars only came in limited colors. This one was white from the factory but John and Linda have upgraded the factory white with a new custom pearl flake and non-stock orange stripe; University of TN fan for sure!

Have you got an Aero SS or even my favorite the Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2 from the same period? If so let us see some pictures.
