Cars of New Zealand

My good friend Robert Pegler sent over these photo he took at a car show in New Zealand. You will love these.

Here are a couple of great MOPARS down-under!

This beautiful 1969 Dodge Daytona belongs to John Houlihan. It is the same car that was at the 2009 Aero Car reunion at Talladega! We saw the car there and photographed it and visited with John and his buddies. It is good to see that it made it back home and is out to another show.

Looks like the photo is printed backwards! The driver is on the right side of the car and the racing stripe is also. Beautiful car.

Here are a few photos of a very rare 1968 327 Bathurst Monaro, these cars were produced like the Ford Talladega, Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II, Dodge Daytona and Plymouth Superbirds, in limited numbers as the cars could race. The events area like NASCAR.( but more road courses)

This vehicle was name after the track – Mount Panorama at Bathurst in Australia. (Nick named the Mountain)

Monaro in Aborigine (the native Australian people) Meaning Mountain or high ground.

Robert reports he had one of these when he was younger but like many of us in the States he sold it to buy a house, these vehicle now demand a price tag of $250,000.00 AD
