Hot Rod: 1934 FORD, Tom and Celia Murrah

Tom tells me this car was bought in November of 1958 in Greenville, MS for $100.00.

The previous owner’s son had run into the back of another car and his mother made him sell it.

Tom is the current President of the Stones River Chapter of the Antique Auto Club Association. This photo was taken outside our Club House in Murfreesboro, TN.

His dad drove the car back & forth to work for 3 years, but the motor cracked its block. He pulled the motor, bought a rebuilt block in Blytheville, AR for $50, but put the block in a friend’s garage where it remained for 10 years. The car sat in their back yard for all that time before Tom pulled it out and put it back on the street. It remains today much as it did from his high school days.

I love this car. This is what Hot Rods are suppose to be!
