One of our favorite activities is to jump in one of the old cars and take a Saturday cruise to visit a different private car collection. It always amazes me how many large private collections are out there. Not only large but some have the most unbelievable cars. Take for instance the most recent visit. Not only were the cars very rare, such as a 1965 Chevelle Z-16! Ok, there wasn’t one there; there were two! Both were very low miles and one heavily optioned. How about 396/375HP with 4-speed, tilt wheel, wood steering wheel, tinted windows, power windows, deluxe two tone interior and more!
These two cars were amazing but the list goes on with some ultra rare muscle cars with only 1,700 miles. Some were bone stock original while others were immaculately restored in the owners own personal restoration shop.
The show room for the cars was also a real toy box with lots of fun memorabilia, dioramas and decorations. Here are but a few of the photos I took on this tour. I hope you enjoy them and seek out some private collections in your part of the Country.

This blue and white interior is the only one like this I have ever seen and it is gorgeous.

I grew up and lived in Iowa for a good portion of my life before moving to Southern California. After 20+ years we now live outside Nashville Tennessee. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle especially the 1969/1970 NASCAR Aero Cars. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife, Katriana, is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. We have a small collection that includes at least one car from each of the Big Three. It includes a Best of Show winner, a survivor, a driver with lots of patina and several others. Katrina prefers all original cars while I like to modify them so we have a few of each. When we aren't playing with cars we are out working with or showing our miniature donkeys.
