What are you working on?

We like to hear from each of you on what your current projects are. One of our friends from down in the Dallas area and long time Ford guy, Marty Burke has two projects I think any of us would be proud to have in our garage.

First up is a black Cyclone he took in on trade for his 1968 1/2 Mustang. It has been in the Dallas/Ft Worth area all of its life. It was bought new by a doctor who then sold it to another docter in 1995. The second owner passed away and Marty basically got it through the estate via an intermediary who bought the Mustang. It wasn’t cheap but it is a really nice car.

It is a 1969 Cyclone R code, automatic, air and POWER WINDOWS. It has a numbers matching motor which he is now rebuilding. Marty is the third owner of this jewel.

Marty has had this Torino GT for about 15 years but just recently decided to restore it. It is a 1969 Torino GT Q code with automatic and is a beautiful rare Black Jade /white bucket seats. To top it all off it is a numbers matching motor. The Marti Report states it is 1 of 1!

He purchase it in Ennis TX along with another R code Cyclone. Being head judge for the Fairlane Club what could he do but a complete concourse restoration on it using mostly NOS parts. I bet this will be one of the best in the Country when Marty is done with it.

Marty also has a long list of reproduction and replacement parts for the Ford Torino, Talladega and Spoiler. He can be reached at: mburke6662@aol.com.

I grew up and lived in Iowa for a good portion of my life before moving to Southern California. After 20+ years we now live outside Nashville Tennessee. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle especially the 1969/1970 NASCAR Aero Cars. (Check out our other web site at www.TalladegaSpoilerRegistry.com site) As long as it has four wheels and an engine I get excited. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife, Katriana, is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. We have a small collection that includes at least one car from each of the Big Three. It includes a Best of Show winner, a survivor, a driver with lots of patina and several others. Katrina prefers all original cars while I like to modify them so we have a few of each. When we aren't playing with cars we are out working with or showing our miniature donkeys. You can see more about that part of our lives at http://www.LegendaryFarms.com.
