Project Barn Find AMX Update

Every day we see progress now. The AMX is into final assembley and buff; still not done but I can see the end in sight. We remain pretty close to schedule but there is always one more thing to do before doing the next thing. I decided to go ahead and hook up and debug the air conditioning system before installing any more of the front end and interior. There are also some last minute chrome work to get done and the forever, I forgot to order that problem.

Here is one of the most recent status photos.

I grew up and lived in Iowa for nearly 40 years before moving to Southern California and now live in Tennessee. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle especially the 1969/1970 NASCAR Aero Cars. (Check our our www.TalladegaSpoilerRegistry.com page) As long as it has four wheels on it I get excited. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife Katriana is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. We have a small collection that includes at least one car from each of the Big Three. Katrina prefers all original cars while I like to modify them so we have a few of each. When we aren't playing with cars we are out with our miniature donkeys. 1. These car’s restored with the 390 -401 are a blast to drive,2800 -3150 makes for some strong performance.I was fortunate to be able to buy some new chrome trim and other items from Chrysler,ex AMC dealer in the 80’s,2 dealer’s told me AMX parts were no longer available, but I found one[I later worked there as a A mechanic]who found and ordered just about everything I needed for 68/69/70 AMX,great guys.So when parts guys tell you the part for your 2002 is not available anymore,,double check, you shouldn’t have too,but what can I say.
