It is fun and you get to see some wonderful cars up close. In recent years many of the larger events have added cruises down the streets some even with open exhaust. Some shows have added burn out contests but others have added real competitive speed events.

The video below is a small example of the competition at the recent Nashville Good Guys event. This is all part of the movement away from perfect trailer queens and more to the drive it like you stole it end of the spectrum. Agree or disagree, it is fun to watch a muscle car or hot rod do what it was intended for, go fast.
