Daytona Superbird Auto Club Halloween Party 2009 at Wellborn Muscle Car Museum
Most of you won’t appreciate this page but for those of you who attended the 40th Aero Car Reunion in Alexander City Alabama on Halloween weekend in 2009 these pictures should bring back some memories. If not, you drank too much!
The Museum is located at 24 Broad Street, Alexander City, Alabama and is open Monday – Friday 9-5 and Saturday 10-4, Closed Sunday.
That is Katrina and Richard on the right!
NASCAR legend Charlie Glotzbach dressed as NASCAR Driver Charlie Glotzbach!
White belt is a nice touch.
The theme was the 60′s; I think our friend may have gotten the wrong Century!
What an angry Batman! At least Cat Woman is happy.
Katrina makes a good flower child.
Elvis spotting.
A pimp…
…and his girl.
Our leader, Doug with tire tracks on his forehead!
Our host, Tim Wellborn.
The Stanton’s may have also picked the wrong Century but they won the big prize!
Charlie’s Pit Crew.
Charlie’s pit crew. They actually tried to use Mr. Gas Can to fill Charlies’s race car. The gas can ended up with a bloody nose when it wouldn’t fit into the gas inlet! I think there was too much alcahol in the fuel!

Rick: I believe Charlie Glotzbach was portraying the Sheriff in the old Dodge commercials from 1970 played by Joe Higgins. “Ya all drive careful now, ya’ hear!” It was a blast. Great site, too.
What a great host and hostess the Wellborns were!
I feel badly that Patti and I didn’t prepare any costumes for the Halloween party, but, as a spectator – it was a great time.
I am a little concerned about one thing though, it seems to me that we had a more than representative group of flower children at this event. Furthermore, I think that most of them didn’t actually have to purchase costumes; I think they just raided the back of their closets. The part that concerns me though, is that everything that far back in my closet has shrunk well beyond what I can wear…
I did have a couple of other serious concerns when I saw Larry Peterson and Jim Wells decked out as Dodge Crew Team Members… must have been some sort of horror theme – it certainly gave me chills! I would have to have voted for them in the category of most frightening costume.
Great costumes by all, great photos, great website, great party, and great to see each of you again!

Carl, your comment are right on! Katrina and I did not purchase one single thing for the costume party. In fact we did not even have to dig deep; everthing was right out front! As for Larry and Jim maybe they were trying to infiltrate the other side and learn what those big Mopar wings were for.
