Project Barn Find AMX Update
Richard | Jun 23, 2011 | Comments 0
The Barn Find AMX is progressing slowly but steadily. It is currently having all of the little body waves and dings removed prior to getting its final bath of red and black paint.
Here is the body fresh from having the last of the paint removed and the body scrubbed.
Second is a skim coat of filler to make sure there are no low spots.
We actually found more areas in need of correction than we first believed necessary but that is why you do this, right!
From here is is more of the same to be followed by primer and block sanding and more primer and more block sanding etc.
After the new paint is applied we will jump into the installation of the new interior, hang all the chrome and emblems etc. and find some new tires and wheels for the little Barn Find.

About the Author: I grew up and lived in Iowa for nearly 40 years before moving to Southern California. The time there was very rewarding but the urge for a slower pace moved us to Tennessee a few years ago and we love it. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle. As long as it has four wheels on it I get excited. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife Katriana is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. When they don't we are usually out with our miniature donkeys. You can see more about that part of our lives at http://www.LegendaryFarms.com.
