Part of the fun and mystique of owning collector cars whether they are muscle cars, sports cars, hot rods or rat rods are the stories behind them. The stories about how they were acquired, about the breakdowns, about the special trips and especially about the people encountered along the way. The Mission of our site is about helping you make your car a Legend.

Steve McQueen and Bullitt

Arguably, the best car chase scene in movie history was between Steve McQueen’s Mustang and the villain’s Dodge Charger. There are web sites devoted to it and uncountable stories been written about it. Enthusiasts try to recreate the iconic green Mustang and spend hours debating what happened to that very special Mustang from the film.

If you have never seen the movie you can’t be a real car guy. I never remember the plot of the movie and have seen it numerous times. I now have the DVD and only watch the chase scene over and over.

Now, to save you some effort here is that chase with all of its lost hubcaps and body damage that appears and disappears. Also watch for the same little VW that seems to show up in all the downtown driving scenes.

About the Author: I grew up and lived in Iowa for nearly 40 years before moving to Southern California. The time there was very rewarding but the urge for a slower pace moved us to Tennessee a few years ago and we love it. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle. As long as it has four wheels on it I get excited. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife Katriana is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. When they don't we are usually out with our miniature donkeys. You can see more about that part of our lives at http://www.LegendaryFarms.com.
