Part of the fun and mystique of owning collector cars whether they are muscle cars, sports cars, hot rods or rat rods are the stories behind them. The stories about how they were acquired, about the breakdowns, about the special trips and especially about the people encountered along the way. The Mission of our site is about helping you make your car a Legend.

Bobby Allison 1969 Dodge Daytona Race Car

There are few race car drivers that I respect more than Bobby Allison and few race cars that make the juices flow like his number 22 1969 Dodge Dayton. When I heard the sound of that Hemi and looked up and saw the number 22 roar into the Convention Center at the 2010 Forge Muscle Car Show the hair stood up on the back of my neck. I dropped what I was doing to my own car to take it all in. I hope you appreciate these images and video as much as I did taking them.

This video will give you a good overview and the photos below will provide some additional details.

About the Author: I grew up and lived in Iowa for nearly 40 years before moving to Southern California. The time there was very rewarding but the urge for a slower pace moved us to Tennessee a few years ago and we love it. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle. As long as it has four wheels on it I get excited. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife Katriana is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. When they don't we are usually out with our miniature donkeys. You can see more about that part of our lives at http://www.LegendaryFarms.com.
