Indy Car Racing is back! The split between IRL and Cart was terrible. It took Indy Car racing from the top to almost killing it. NASCAR was a second rate series until the split. We just got back from the Nashville race and it was a disappointment. Last year we didn’t get to see one car on the track. It got rained out and we couldn’t make the rain date.
Tonight, the rain came but we were already gone. The lighting in TN can get plenty wild and we were not going to take a chance in the stands.
Scott Dixon was supposed to pit, missed it and stayed out. The leaders pitted in the first rain delay and he went to the lead. That mistake made him the winner when the second rain delay came and eventually ended the race. Tony Kanaan, Helio Castroneves and Danica Patrick all lead or had a chance but it was not to be.
Winner, Scott Dixon.

Buddy Rice, nose to tail but no go!
Ever change a tire along side the Freeway? This is worse.
Ouch!
Not a good day for Ryan Hunter-Reay.
Think Penske has the best equipment, you should see the rest of his stuff. Outstanding!

About the Author: I grew up and lived in Iowa for nearly 40 years before moving to Southern California. The time there was very rewarding but the urge for a slower pace moved us to Tennessee a few years ago and we love it. I have been into cars since I was old enough to remember. I don't have a brand loyalty although I do prefer American Muscle. As long as it has four wheels on it I get excited. Few men are lucky enough to be able to share their passion for cars with the woman they love. Fortunately, my wife Katriana is also a gear head and many of our activities revolve around the cars. When they don't we are usually out with our miniature donkeys. You can see more about that part of our lives at http://www.LegendaryFarms.com.
